7 holidays posts (#3 ~ coffee)

The search for good coffee never stops. Over the week we drunk lots of coffee, most of it at home. The few times we ventured out for coffee was fun. Every little cafe has a story and is someone’s local. If they were not, then they would cease to exist as holiday makers are few and far between in the winter months.

3 cafe’s are worth a mention

Tartt Cafe Forster

This place is our favourite in foster. The corner booth held up by books is our spot. The quotes in the toilets make us laugh. the food is super yummy. And the coffee is really good. I have had a few brews there in my time and the experience depends on the beans and the barrister. However my pic latte last week was supurb. Full body, tasty, slightly nutty – a rich yummy coffee.

Frothy Coffee Smith’s lake

This place was 30m from our place so it was always going to get a visit sometime during a wet, windy week. the coffee is not to die for. But the view is. This cafe has rustic charm that i imagine is full and pumping in the summer months as people chill out on Smith’s lakes

Twenty by Twelve. Blueys

This cafe is fun. The walls talk to you more than the staff. Everywhere you look is a little comment directing you about something. In winter this cafe is a bit hit and miss. It is in the Good food guide for its bread, relish’s, food etc but it is not available every day. the coffee was also a little disappointing. I think I was served a double mac instead of a pic latte. Im still buzzing days later. My guess is that mine was an anomanly as the rest of our crew loved their drinks.
